TERMS
Talox beta terms.
Last updated: October 24, 2026
These terms cover the Talox public beta. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Beta license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Talox on Macs you own or control, for evaluation and personal or internal business use. The beta is provided free of charge.
2. Restrictions
- Do not redistribute, sublicense, rent, or sell the app or a modified copy.
- Do not remove or alter proprietary notices.
- Do not use the app to violate the law or the rights of others.
3. Your responsibility
Talox can stop processes you own. Stopping a process can cause unsaved work to be lost. The app asks for confirmation and refuses critical system processes, but you remain responsible for the processes you choose to stop and for any data loss that follows.
4. No warranty
The beta is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Measurements are best-effort: processes owned by other users cannot be read exactly without root and are labelled as estimates.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Talox and its author are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or business interruption, arising from the use of the app.
6. Updates and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue the beta at any time. Features and pricing may change before 1.0. Beta testers will be told about material changes.
7. Privacy
The app stores data locally. See the privacy note for what is written to disk and how to delete it.
8. Termination
This license ends if you breach these terms. On termination, stop using the app and delete it and its data.
